Description

The CAMS3 Unit is a compact camera unit powered by the ESP32S3 module. It comes equipped with 8M PSRAM and 16M Flash memory, ensuring ample capacity for image processing and storage. The unit features a 2MP OV2640 camera with a 66.5° wide-angle field of view, capable of capturing photos at a maximum resolution of 1600x1200. Its WiFi cloud image transmission support allows for easy remote image monitoring.

This camera unit includes a built-in MicroSD card slot for convenient image and data storage, enhancing data backup capabilities. It also features a built-in PDM microphone for sound recording, enabling comprehensive audio and video capture. The CAMS3 Unit has a programmable status indicator light; a flashing blue light indicates active data capturing and uploading.

For connectivity, the HY2.0-4P port at the bottom of the unit provides access to the S3's internal D+/D- pins, facilitating firmware updates or USB serial communication when connected to the M5Grove2USB-C module. This makes development and debugging more convenient. Additionally, the onboard 2x1.3 headers expose the ESP32S3's programming download port, simplifying firmware burning and other tasks.

The CAMS3 Unit's original firmware comes with full shooting and uploading functions for EZData, requiring only simple configurations for remote image monitoring. This functionality makes the CAMS3 Unit particularly suitable for remote monitoring, time-lapse photography, industrial automation, and other similar applications.
