Description
The Timer Camera is an ESP32 cam module equipped with 8MB PSRAM, featuring a 3-megapixel (3MP) OV3660 camera with a 66.5° diagonal field of view and a maximum photo resolution of 2048x1536. This module is designed with an LED status indicator and a reset button for ease of use.
One of its key features is ultra-low power consumption, supported by an RTC (BM8563) that enables timing, sleep, and wake-up functions. In sleep mode, the module consumes only 2μA, allowing the battery to last for over a month with the scheduled photo-taking function (one photo per hour) activated. It supports Wi-Fi image transmission and USB port debugging, with a HY2.0-4P port at the bottom for connecting additional peripherals. The Timer Camera also offers DIY-friendly features, including a reserved battery interface on the board.
Programming and settings adjustments are made easy with the M5Burner firmware burning tool and the Camera-Tool, while UIFlow can be used for processing TimerCamera data.
The power management of the Timer Camera series is distinct from the CORE and StickC devices, utilizing a PWR button for power-on (long press 2s) and requiring software API use or a reset button press for shutdown. When using an external power supply, the device remains continuously powered on.
